Does my product need BIS ISI certification?

BIS ISI certification, under Scheme-I, is a product certification licence. Where a Quality Control Order makes it mandatory, a manufacturer must hold the licence to use the ISI mark, which involves product testing and a BIS assessment of the factory. Sanmayu supports the application and preparation. BIS alone grants the licence.

Does my product need an ISI licence?

Is a test report enough, or must the factory be assessed too?

ISI is a licence to the manufacturer, so BIS assesses the factory as well as testing product samples. A test report alone is not the licence.
